In-class excercise:

As a team visit three websites and write up a short analysis of each site.
Each group will select one website that you feel is successful -(XHTML ONLY, no Flash sites)
Include the following information:

1. What is the goal of the site?
2. Who is the intended audience?
3. What aspects of the site are successful based on the goal and audience?
4. If you were handed this site to make improvement, what would you change and why?

A good place to start looking for non-flash sites is Cool Home Pages.

Homework:
Website Analysis
Think of two causes/issues that you are passionate about. Find a website about each of these that you think is successful and that inspires you. (Some examples of causes/issues could be: air pollution, literacy, "no-kill" animal shelters, recycling, climate change, poverty, immigration.)

Write an XHTML document evaluating the websites you've selected and link it to your class portfolio. Use the criteria outline on the Guidelines as the basis for what you will write. Make sure each of the criteria outlined is addressed.
