Plate's Purchase
On December 8 2006 my husband Bill became a proud owner of the Illinois license plate “OBAMA”. Bill was a supporter of the President when he was still a US Senator from Illinois. The license plate was for sale as any other vanity tag and it was still available.
It was great news for Bill who didn’t hesitate a moment and completed the purchase. We placed it on the car on the day of my test for an American driving license and the car has been sporting the plate ever since.
