Macedonia; many people have never really heard of it, but mention the name Alexander the Great, and they know exactly who you're talking about. Macedonia is actually a small country that borders Greece to the south, Yugoslavia to the north, Albania to the west, and Bulgeria to the east. It is also a country rich in history and steeped in tradition.

Today's Macedonia has much to offer to the historical community in the form of artifacts and cities that are being uncovered by archeologists. Unfortunately, due to events that have plagued the small country since the 19th century, not enough effort is being made to explore all the rich historical treasure Macedonia has to offer.
