New Mexico Dining Room
Sesash Gutierrez
Produced in: GAME 201 Computer Animation: Modeling
IAM Program: Computer Animation
The assets in “New Mexico Dining Room” were built in Maya. The lighting was done in Unity.
I am a fan of the Throne Miniature Rooms at the Art Institute of Chicago so I decided to use one of their rooms as a reference for this project. I chose the room “A:34: New Mexico Dining Room c. 1940” because of the way light filters into the room through the windows creating a comfortable and warm environment.

Sesash Gutierrez
Produced in: ANIM 352 Character Design and Modeling
IAM Program: Computer Animation
“Jarisol the Sun Chaser” is my circus character design translated into 3D. I started with a base mesh in Maya that I then brought it to Zbrush to detail and refine. Texturing was done in Substance Painter.

3D Modeling: Modern Living Room & Model Showcase
Chase Kile
Produced in: Computer Animation: Modeling
IAM Program: Game Art
My Modern Living room was my long semester project for my Modeling class, I created it using Maya and I used the Unity Game Engine to light my scene. All of the textures for my models were created using Photoshop. I used the Arnold Renderer in Maya to get some high quality pictures for my presentation sheets. I am really pleased with how this scene turned out!
Saw: The Lost Chapter
Nick Eisner
Produced in: PROG 101 – Intro to Programming
IAM Program: Programming
This is an original story based console game that is set in the world of the Saw movies that was created for my final project for PROG 101. You will be put to the test as you try to escape two different traps that Jigsaw has put you in. As you progress though the game you will face minigames such as a maze, RNG based interactions, and riddles. Will you have what it takes to make it out alive? Or will this become your final resting place? Live or die, the choice is yours.

Ecosystem project: Underwater
Eric Hyukjin Kwon
Produced in: GAME 220 Simulation and Serious Games SP21-02
IAM Programs: Game Design, Programming
This work was to make an ecosystem by using one of IAM instructor Dr. Joshua A. Fisher’s “The Nature of Code Remixed for Unity” as a reference. The purpose of the project was to create an ecosystem in which various creatures behave themselves, interact with each other, and live together without user intervention.
Virtual Aquarium
Joseph Poselenzny
Produced in: Simulations and Serious Games GAME 220
IAM Programs: Game Design, User Experience
This is a virtual ecosystem that I created as part of the Simulation and Serious games class. It features six different creatures which interact with each other, and their environment. The interactions are done through code. It takes inspiration from Joshua Fisher’s Unity remix of the coding book Nature of Code.

Main Character Sheets
Trang Nguyen
Produced in: Character Visualization for Games
IAM Programs: Game Art, Animation
These are the character sheets for the protagonist and antagonist of a game where monsters are hunted to extinction simply because humans are threatened by them despite the monsters not going out of their way to attack humans unless they’re provoked. I wanted the protagonist to be a child because a child isn’t strong enough to hurt anyone, but because they’re a monster they’ll be hunted down regardless. The protagonist will be hunted by the antagonist who’s the leader of a monster hunter group and she’ll be hunting down the protagonist because she’s determined to get rid of every monster.
The Gold Room
Katie Schoen
Produced in: GAME201 Computer Animation: Modeling
IAM Program: Non-Degree Seeking Student
I challenged myself to recreate an environment from a favorite movie of mine, The Shining. The Gold Room is from an iconic scene that features a variety of textures, materials and lighting elements that I was excited to model. All of the meshes were modeled in Maya, and texture maps were created in Photoshop. The scene was then imported into Unity where lighting and post processing effects were applied to give the interior a realistic feel that pays homage to the film.
