It is getting closer to the time of the year where 28,000 members of the gaming industry migrate to San Francisco, California for the annual Game Developers Conference (GDC). For five days the Moscone Center is transformed into a gaming and high tech playground for its attendees with 550 leading technology companies eager to show off the latest tools and tech and 750 panels, roundtable discussions, and more!
Companies such as Amazon, Ubisoft, Unity, Unreal Engine, Oculus, and Intel have booths set up in the venue allowing for networking opportunities. Bring business cards!
Five days might seem like a too much time but do not worry! Between the conference, summits, expo, events, and community spaces in the area you’ll have plenty to do and more.
The two events that your GDC Expo pass will get you into is The Independent Games Festival (IGF) and the The Game Developers Choice Award (GDCA). The IGF recognizes and honors indie game development projects where the GDCA showcase and award the leading top games in the industry.
Alpha Lab and </hackerjacks> are hosting a GDC Prep Workshop with none other than Becca Hallstedt on February 15th, 2019!
The five day conference takes place March 18-22, 2019.
The expo is from March 20-22, 2019.
