We had a great turnout at the IAM Fall Open House, where our amazing students took the lead, showing off their talent and creativity.
Talented students were on hand to talk about their experiences at Columbia with visitors, including the many opportunities on campus to engage and collaborate with their peers. Representatives from student groups included Alpha Lab, Animation Association, </hackerjacks>, and E-sports.
Interactive work (games, interaction design projects, and other applications) was available for play and exploration.
Animation and Game Art work was showcased on our Cintiqs (2D animation and art work).
Audio – music and sound – adds dimension to interactive experiences, and provides a great opportunity for students to study across departments. Our sound booth was open for touring.
Animation, Motion Graphics, CVFX, and Game Art faculty and students showcased work and talked about industry and career opportunities.
Game Design, Interaction Design, and Programming faculty discussed the unique opportunities Columbia offers in its team classes for students to work together on semester-long projects.
Cool interactive VR, AR, and mixed reality experiences created by our students were available to play.
